Little Beach in Nelson Bay is a family-friendly haven offering calm waters perfect for paddling, swimming, and even snorkeling. The beach is kept safe with a netted area for children, and the water current is mild. Older kids and adults can enjoy jumping off the nearby ramp. The location boasts beautiful views, making it an ideal spot to watch the sunset. There is a playground for the little ones and a grassy area for picnics and games. The area also features clean toilets, showers, and a boat ramp. Nearby, there's a kiosk for food and beverages, as well as a restaurant and coffee shop. The beach is frequently visited by delightful pelicans, and occasionally, dolphins are spotted close to the shore. Despite its popularity, the beach maintains its cleanliness, but visitors might appreciate more shade.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
